Time

Time is now. I try not to forget.
Life is now. One edge of a perfect diamond
Only a few learn to see from more than one side
A piece of time is a burning of one cigarette
A piece of time is how long it takes to say a word
Seconds in between, glimpses of eternity
Shining in all of its finite parts
A human life: a flop of butterfly wings
Collision of super-particles
As light still reaches our faces
Born out of a supernova
Billions of years ago.
It just died reflected in your eyes.
But we are still alive.
Reflections of the eternity
Grains of sand scattered by the wind
Silicon that will turn one day into carbon
And find a new life again
Far away from where we stand
So close to our freedom
That we have yet to accept.

A.K.
